Recent Reads

Here are my three most recent reads and my thoughts on them. As you can see, I enjoy a variety of different books, but my favorites tend to be YA romance.

Yellow Brick War

I don't really know how I feel. It was a great book, but it felt...short, and yet I feel like there were more unnecessary details that were added. This whole series could probably be summed up in two books. I love the romance, but it's only a side part, which is understandable but disappointing for someone who loves romance. Not my favorite, but I'll probably read the rest just to finish the series.

Picking Daisies on Sundays

Words cannot describe how amazing this book was. I finished it in two days! I could NOT put this book down. Daisy's and Levi's love story was light-hearted, fluffy, and romantic. A sweet closed-door romance about two childhood friends who reconnect and fall in love. The characters were definitely likable and relatable with an addicive ploy and satisfying conclusion. Highly recommend this book for ages above 12.

Secret Garden

Ooohh, I loved this book! At first, the Yorkshire dialect took some getting used to, but in a way, I found it amusing. This book was quite satisfying in the way Mary dealt with Colin. Like when you're internally screaming at a character to do something, and they actually do it. I wish I could've known more about Mary and Dickons relaionship. I know this wasn't a romance story, but you know I love my cute romances. Overall, a beautiful classic with a great theme.
